About Us
In 2009, 15 national leaders who invested their careers and passion in serving Latino communities gathered to explore how they could bring their energy and efforts together for national impact. Out of their shared experience and desire, the participants created the National Alliance for Hispanic Families to focus on advancing policies and practices that would support the Latino community across the United States.
The National Alliance for Hispanic Families (NAHF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit that promotes strategies that strengthen Hispanic families. Our purpose is to harness public and private resources to promote comprehensive programs, relevant research, and targeted policies that support families where children flourish while adults learn the skills to thrive in today’s society.
What We Do
Maximize the Impact of Social Programs
NAHF leverages resources to support community-based organizations that serve Hispanic children and families. We promote culturally relevant and comprehensive programs that equip individuals with communication, relational, and problem-solving skills within the context of the family. In doing so, we elevate the values of the Hispanic community.
Research
NAHF promotes the advancement of community-based research that highlights unique strengths and challenges within the Hispanic family, summarizes existing data, and generates data that fills gaps and informs effective programming.
Public Policy
NAHF elevates the importance of Hispanic families and communities by strengthening strategies among policymakers to ensure equitable participation in all facets of public funding.
