Puro PREP (Purpose. Respect. Elevate. Prepare)

NAHF has been funded through the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide holistic relationship and sexual health education programming to youth in our communities. In partnership with Urban Strategies and community and faith-based organizations, we will work with over 1400 youth and their families over three years in Houston and San Antonio, TX.

VAT

In partnership with Urban Strategies, NAHF is increasing access and education around the COVID-19 vaccine through the Vaccine Access and Training (VAT) Initiative. Funded by the US Department of Health through the Center for Global Health Innovation, this project aims to deploy community health workers in collaboration with community- and faith-based organizations in Texas to provide outreach and education on the prevention of serious illness through the COVID-19 vaccine.

Additional project goals are as follows:

  • Target vulnerable and medically underserved communities
  • Improve vaccine confidence and reduce access barriers
  • Improve informed vaccine decision-making and vaccine acceptance
